Update Your Medications
Bring your medication list to every visit. We want to keep your list as accurate as possible.
Need refills? Request any refills needed during your visit.
Prescriptions are only filled during normal business hours. Controlled substance refills require a visit.
Schedule Your Labs
If you are scheduling your labs prior to your physical exam, coming 2-3 days prior is ideal. If additional tests need to be added onto the blood that was already drawn, this is often possible within a few days of your lab visit. In general, the lab is less busy later in the week and in the afternoon.
Prepare for Your Labs
When we ask you to fast for labs, we mean a 10 hour fast. You may still have black coffee, unsweetened tea, and water prior to labs. We encourage you to drink lots of water while fasting. Contact the office if you have concerns regarding your ability to fast, and we can provide guidance.
Laboratory Processing Fees
There is a $200 charge for specialty laboratory kit specimen collection and processing. Please let us know when you schedule your laboratory visit that you intend to complete tests which have been ordered by people other than your Washington Internists Group doctor.
